Trips & Tours for the Family

Space And Science
Today we will visit the California Science Center for a self-guided tour around the science center and the Endeavor Space Shuttle Exhibit. The public will be able to view the shuttle in the Endeavour Display Pavilion, located just outside the main Science Center building, while a new Air and Space Center is being built. When completed, Endeavour will be the centerpiece of this new building, a 200,000 square-foot-expansion envisioned as par t of the Science Center’s 25-year master plan. Combining an exceptional collection of aeronautic and space artifacts with immersive experiences and hands-on, inquiry-based exhibits, the Air and Space Center will inspire guests to explore the scientific concepts underlying aeronautics and the formation and exploration of our universe. We will have a short stop for lunch, on your own, at LA’s own Farmer’s Market and then, we’ll be off to Downey for a visit at the Columbia Memorial Space Center, admission included. This is a self-guided tour that allows you to have a hands-on experience inside the 20,000 square foot visitor’s center with visual teaching exhibits and more.
