This Week's Notable News Highlights:

  • Police Department- On June 24, an officer responded to an audible alarm call at a restaurant in the 500 block of N. Mountain Avenue. The officer saw a female near the restaurant, and she immediately walked across the street. The drone saw the female drop a bag behind a wall and begin walking in another direction. The officer attempted to stop the female and she ran. A short foot pursuit ensued, and the female was taken into custody. The female was also found to have a felony warrant for burglary.
  • Public Works- It’s been a busy week of paving, striping, and seal coating at various locations. Staff trimmed Pepper trees on Euclid, re-painted faded red curbing, and removed debris. Crews also did weed abatement and raised the tree canopy to address a line-of-sight concern.
